Why are our young men so effeminate?

LOL, the fact that I am still in school, have no money of my own, and have no credit rating of any sort, might have something to do with no financial institution being prepared to give me a credit card.

So the onus of proof no longer rests upon he who makes an assertion? Who knew?

I have no idea of the current or comparative birth rates for young white Americans, Aussies or Europeans. But then I have made no assertions about any of those demographics.

While there is definitely a correlation between birthrate and sperm count, in this case sperm count has nothing to do with the lower birthrate. Western Europeans and their offshoots have declining birthrates because they are experiencing the highest level of prosperity in human history. Traditional gender roles are disintegrating which is pushing many women to become career focused. So, in some ways you could say that the so-called decline of masculinity (departure of men from traditional mascule roles) is related to the lower birthrate. It's not sperm count causing it though.

Seriously, I try to avoid the stuff. Some protein shakes have it which is completely self-defeating for those trying to put on muscles.

 

There was a time when I didn't give it a second thought, but soy has hormone-mimicking properties and attaches to hormone receptor sites, competing with actual sex hormones. It has been used as a treatment for menopause symptoms, which tells me that it's not just silly to take it seriously. A few months ago, I watched a program about the wide use of soy oil in our fast-food industry. It's the most commonly used oil for frying french fries and other deep-fried goodies. It's a common replacement for milk products, and is used in a good number of processed meat products. The Japanese consume large amounts of soy in their diets. Their infertility rates are high. Maybe it's just coincidence, but I'm thinking there may be a causal correlation. To me, it's worth consideration.

 

Can this be post of the year please? That way no matter what drivel anyone posts drunk at 3 am they can still say "yeah so i can't spell and i've got my political partees mixed up 'n there's puke on my keyboard, my posts are still better than 'post of the year'". And they'd be right.

Equal rights has gone WAY TOO FAR and now...in North America...roles of the sexes has been fudged.

Fact is...women can't be equal to men because they are smaller, weaker and generally meaner. Men cannot be equal to women because they can't give birth to life and are generally more oblivious to their immediate surroundings.

And what's wrong with that? Isn't that the way we evolved? There MUST be a purpose for our obvious differences. Why can't we celebrate them instead of trying to make the line between the sexes...fuzzy?

 

Obviously that factoid of the difference between the sexes got lost along the way when women libbers, i.e. femanazis and girly lib men decided to even the playing field by granting all kinds of rights to undeserving and unqualified women.

I'm all for celebrating our differences, but the topic here is to make sense out of the fact that liberal boys in general grow up as sissies by emulating the weaker sex, and thus the reason why they support the nanny state to carry out all of their worldly affairs. This isn't rocket science; its quite clear.

I take a slight offense at that remark. Remember, when referring to Conservatives males, always call them men, and so in this case you are allowed to and encouraged to call me a Pig-Man. I am shocked by the lack of education being displayed by some of the posters on this thread. Have you not have social studies in school? Have had no contact with anyone outside your own culture? Do you not know that there is a whole world outside your front door or are you so xenophobic that you hide your head in the sand every time someone with different values so much as looks at you?

The facts are the idea of masculinity is different among different cultures. Our own (American) ideas of masculinity have changed since the birth of this country. Since the masculinity is defined differently in different times and different places, then the whole idea that the changing of the definition of masculinity is somehow harmful to society is rubbish. It is just part of the natural progression.

 

The "idea" of masculinity is one thing, the reality - of which you are so blissfully oblivious - quite another.
