    I have seen it.

It is nothing but a Chinese Fanboi site, that is full of rants and raves about how China is developing all of these perfect weapons, all for "peaceful purposes".

    http://wareye.com/incrediblehow-many-people-can-a-tank-carry-most

And a lot of the information given is garbage to say the least. Infantry riding on a tank in the modern military? Yea, if you wanna get blown away even faster. Infantry follows the tanks, it does not ride on top of them.

    Go here http://www.worldaffairsboard.com/

It's a forum chock full of active and former military from around the world. They have zero tolerance for "fanboys" and post a lot of good news links from reputable sources. They have an entire section of the forums devoted to China. They also have data bases and stats on each military. Another good source here http://www.globalsecurity.org/

All signs point to a US vs PRC war in the next ten to twenty years.

That's my opinion, at any rate.

PRC vs India is significantly more likely. Heck, Russia vs PRC is probably more likely.

I wouldn't be so sure about China/India. They've had a number of very violent and deadly border clashes in the last 50 years.

Both have nuclear weapons. Both are booming economies with much to lose. Neither is stupid.

Nuclear weapons don't preclude any chance of conventional warfare. As recently as the 80s they've been fighting skirmishes against each other. They are also still extremely suspicious of one another and fighting a quasi arms race. The very fact that they are both growing economies is why a war could start. India, China, and Russia are three massive powers that are competing in the same region and in the case of India/China over the same economic position. I'm not saying it's more likely than not they'll fight. I'm saying that China is more likely to fight India than the U.S. Plus the fact that the Chinese military has virtually no ability to project power to North America while India is in it's backyard.

During this century the respective ambitions and fears of the Chinese and Indians will bring them into armed conflict. Their interests cannot otherwise be reconciled.

If anything has been proven, that has absolutely nothing to do with the possability of war.

In the last 1930's, Germany's largest trading partner was France. That certainly did not stop WWII.

And at the same time, Japan's largest trading partner was the US. That did not stop Pearl Harbor.

In 1990, Iraq had just finished a long and costly war with Iran. And this war was mostly financed through loans from Kuwait. That certainly did nothing to stop Iraq from invading and annexing that nation.

People have the mistaken belief that such economic activities prevent war. When in reality, they have nothing to do with it at all.

Once again, something that has nothing to do with the other.

In the last 1930's, Germany had one of the fastest expanding economies in the world.

And at the beginning of WWII, the "Weapon of Mass Destruction" was chemical weapons. And both sides had huge stockpiles of them, just waiting to use them in battle.

But it never happened, because the leaders of both sides for the most part restrained themselves and their militaries from useing them.
