You were not agreeing, but you were arguing about the combined powers of Turkey and China. These military powers will never form an alliance, this is a wet dream of Turks, who think China will accept to be lessoned by Turkey, like Erdogan did.

Indeed, Turkey is not a teamplayer.

This is a problem of epic proportions as far as I'm concerned since the country appears to not being able to be trusted.

Let me make it as clear as it can get.
    1)We are not your friend
    2)You are not our friend
3)We never were friends, but were in a cooperative agreements, we still are.
4)Your pale white skin and your imperialist mind makes me sick
5)China shall rise, India shall rise, Turkey shall rise, Russia shall Rise, just like the Sun rises from the East, the dominance of the EAST shall prevail and you, the pale european will be in misery.

That, of course, is just your version of the truth -- also known as "a pack of lies, half-truths and misrepresentations".

Your blunt racism and neo-Ottomanism is not only very worrisome for me, I also think it's utterly disgusting. You, literally, make me sick.

I first tried not to take you that serously, but when one starts to sputter hateful, incoherent and completely delussional stuff like you -- one needs to take a stand.

Also, you are quite the comedian indeed. Mr Medvedev, Mr Erdogan and Mr. Jintao are not exactly "coloured". They are as white (or "pale" LOL!) as me.

Maybe we can agree on that, China's military is combined with Turkey not strong enough to overpower the US, but on the other hand it is strong enough that no military force can protect the Uigurs from it, if Erdogan wants to use them as a weapon against China.

Yes, well considering how China respect human right or lives I wouldn't give too much value to that strategy. China would simply exterminate them and be done with it.

The Uighurs don't have a future. They will end up like the American Indians...if they are lucky. Their genetic material will be subsumed. Their separate identity will be annihilated. Their culture will become a matter of curiousity among travelers.

What makes me think the Uighurs are doomed?

Mass immigration by the Han into Xinjiang. The Han are like the stars in the sky. Too many to count.

    http://www.unhcr.org/refworld/country,COI,RFA,,CHN,,4e5f718a23,0.html

I don't like telling these things. I like seeing these things. I like the Han. It's a matter of blood and marriage.

Okay. That was a very beautiful statement, nevertheless "The Han are like the stars in the sky" and "too many to count" sort of claims doesn't represent real situation. So....I assume you have some statistics, regarding "aggressive expansion"? So far I have failed to find data about that.

    ----------------------

Some Uighur scholars claim descent from both the Turkic Uighurs and the pre-Turkic Tocharians (or Tokharians, whose language was Indo-European), and relatively fair-skin, hair and eyes, as well as other so-called 'Caucasoid' physical traits, are not uncommon among them. In general Uyghurs resemble those peoples who live around them in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan. In 2002, there were 9,632,600 males (growth rate of 1.0%) and 9,419,300 females (growth rate of 2.2%). The population overall growth rate was 10.9‰, with 16.3‰ of birth rate and 5.4‰ mortality rate.

Three Uyghur girls at a Sunday market in the oasis city Khotan

At the start of the 19th century, forty years after the Qing reconquest, there were something like 155,000 Han and Hui Chinese in northern Xinjiang, and somewhat more than twice that number of Uyghurs in southern Xinjiang. A census of the time tabulated ethnic shares of the population as 60% Turkic and 30% Han. Before 1831 only a few hundred Chinese merchants lived in southern Xinjiang oases(Tarim Basin), and only a few Uyghurs lived in northern Xinjiang (Dzungaria). After 1831 the Qing permitted and encouraged Han Chinese migration into the Tarim basin in southern Xinjiang, although with very little success, and stationed permanent troops on the land there as well. Political killings and expulsions of non Uyghur populations in the uprisings of the 1860s and 1930s saw them experience a sharp decline as a percentage of the total population though they rose once again in the periods of stability following 1880 (which saw Xinjiang increase its population from 1.2 million) and 1949. From a low of 7% in 1953, the Han began to return to Xinjiang between then and 1964, where they comprised 33% of the population (54% Uyghur), similarly to Qing times.

    ----------------------

Sorry, still can't see dramatical tensions here. As you can see Han population can decrease to zero numbers rather fast. So modern increase might be just another apex of Han numbers. That is all.

I like it when you post links. That would be nice. Do so. Thanks.

If what you say is correct then why are the Uighurs rioting on a regular basis? Why does the ethnic strife exist? Why are so many PLA troops stationed in Xinjiang?

That is from your wikipedia link, actually.

Your question is meaningless. Ethnic strife existed always and everywhere. As did riots. Troops are always stationed near the borders. And you can see this from that pretty piece of YOUR article.

Wiki is good for some purposes and bad for others because any one can post and modify.

The Han were expelled in the past by Uighur violence. That won't happen again. The Han will continue to immigrate to Xinjiang imo as long as the Chinese Communist Party encourages the Sinicization of Xinjiang. The Han will be the majority in the fullness of time. Same thing with Tibet.

Ethnic strife does not always exist everywhere. The Swiss do not fight each other. The Belgians do not fight each other. The Russians get along just fine with the Chechens in Moscow don't they? The Russians get along just fine with the Han immigrants to the Russian Far East don't they?

A few PLA units are stationed on the borders, but China isn't threatened by any of her cental asian neighbors. Most PLA troops are stationed in the cities of Xinjiang.

India is very Westernized, and is very pro-US/pro-EU (comparatively). I love India; one of my very best family friends is Indian (and a member of the priest caste, admittedly, but she's shirked all of that nonsense). The west has nothing to fear from that country -- it is a peaceful, Westernized nation with wonderful people and an incredible history and culture.

Long live India. Please, hasten your rise.

Lol, 2-3 trolls successfully troll the thread, from both sides, and all other ignorant bigots jump onto thread and type their stupid "doom theory" or (*)(*)(*)(*)ty theories about Turkey, wake up, wash your faces and enjoy your life instead of believing your silly theories in internet and releasing your hatred on your keyboard.
