I'm all for this. And I would just make sure that this extends to not just for-profit organizations, but also non-for-profit organizations. Seems like too easy a loophole to get around.

I would personally amend all these provisions to specify what "other private entities" is. I would also apply this to public sector unions.

Indeed. Perhaps a private entity would cover groups like unions? Certainly some room for clarification.

If we are going to open up the constitution, can we repeal the income tax and replace it with a tariff on foreign goods. We can also redefine the public welfare to mean public works only.

If they are private sector unions, then yes. However, why aren't public sector unions listed?

It needs to prohibit any group (unions or otherwise) from contributing. Only individuals should be able to contribute to a campaign and the individual limit should remain. No group should be able to gain favor by putting money into the pockets of politicians.

    We don't have a Democracy.

One of the few guarantees of the U.S. Constitution is that we have a Republic. This was done by the founding fathers for a very very good reason.

This amendment is complete horse(*)(*)(*)(*), and isn't going anywhere.

As noted by others, we need to amend so as to clarify that government is not our friggin nanny, that the commerce clause is meant to be very narrow, and that welfare is BS. Exactly as the Founders intended.

You have this 100% correct. The Commerce and General Welfare clauses were never meant to be bastardized the way the authoritarians used them to become. Authoritarian Statists purposely ignore the whole preamble portion that contains the "General Welfare" clause.
The Authoritarian Statists used the General Welfare Clause to trample over the Liberty and Posterity without a second thought. They are truly evil.

The General Welfare Clause is often referred to as, "the Taxing and Spending Clause".
