I keep thinking that we never know who's posting in an internet chat room. For example, Margot could be a member of Hamas, trying to peacefully convince people of the legitimacy of extreme Islam; she/he could be teenager in Holland with a hard-on against the Western World because her parents would never buy her the bike she wanted, or she could just be a typically frustrated Liberal who doesn't think things through in a way different than the far left wants her to.

It's so hard to tell. And that makes it tough to know what to say to her/him.

Not saying that Margot is completely nuts. She's/he's fairly reasonable compared to many...

Not even saying she's wrong, actually. Though I can't say I agree with him either.

    And the comedy gold continues......

Irans proxy armies Hizbollah and Hamas ,regardless of where theyre based, both are now and in the past, lethal threats to Israel. Hamas has never been 'legitimate' to rational folks, this hasnt stopped them from openly targetting innocent Israelis by the hundreds over the years...all in the name of their final stated goal, a world without Israel.

You do realize Lebanon is on Israels border right?

You're right. They are on Israel's border! Not the US border. Why do we send our children to die for their state? They believe they are chosen by God, and they were promised occupation of this land. So let them go die for it!

Israel creates its problems with Lebanon and always has because they have always wanted to have south Lebanon and its rivers.

    Bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

It's Hezbollah that's creating problems between Lebanon and Israel. As all of us recall, it was Hezbollah that instigated the 2006 war with Israel and dragged Lebanon into a war that was widely condemned not just by many Lebanese but many of the Sunnis in the Arab world...

Hezbollah has only been around since 1982... Israeli ambitions in Lebanon date to 1950.

Irrelevant. They're still the primary source of conflict between Lebanon and Israel...

No the primary source of conflict.. began with Israel coveting fertile soil and river water in Lebanon.

    Moshe Dayan writes about it.

You probably were never aware of all the small massacres in Lebanon all during the 1950s.

The only two people that could even be considered not a neo-con artist is Paul, and Romney. Of course Romney is a good little neo-con artist sock puppet so it is almost a complete slate, but Paul is the only “true” conservative, and the only ethical one of the bunch. Exactly why republicans are losing their mind that Paul is still in it to win it..

All that really matters is how many Israelis have been killed by Hamas.

As far as "forswearing" violence, weve heard this before.....they "reserve the right" to resist always...so you do the math.

Ismail Haniyeh: “We affirm that armed resistance is our strategic option and the only way to liberate our land, from the [Mediterranean] sea to the River [Jordan].”

Hamas boasts the following “achievements” since its inception: 11,093 rockets fired into southern Israel, 1,117 armed attacks, 87 suicide bombings, 1,365 Israelis killed

Do you understand the source of the conflict with Lebanon?

    Here's why..

    ICE Case studies

    http://www1.american.edu/ted/ice/litani.htm

Israel has considered diverting the Litani southward, first proposed in 1905 because it seemed "the waters of the Jordan basin would be insufficient for the future needs of Palestine."(14) The Litani, because of its water, was suggested to become part of the "national Jewish entity" in 1919 but this was rejected by the League of Nations, and the Litani became part of Lebanon.(15)

Chaim Weizmann, head of the World Zionist Organization, wrote (around 1919-1920) to Prime Minister David Lloyd George that Lebanon was "well-watered" and that the Litani was "valueless to the territory north of the proposed frontiers. They can be used beneficially in the country much further south." He concluded the Litani was "essential to the future of the Jewish national home.'" Yet the British and French mandate powers kept the Litani entirely in Lebanon.(40)

Hezbollah is the primary source of conflict not only with Israel but within Lebanon, as well.

By the way, who did the UN indict for Rafic Hariri's assassination?

UN tribunal indicts Hezbollah members in Hariri assassination
    http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Midd...cts-Hezbollah-members-in-Hariri-assassination

Oh, that's right - it was Hezbollah. Or was someone else behind it?

"If you and Chirac want me out of Lebanon, I will break Lebanon."
Bashar al-Assad to Rafic Hariri, Damascus, August 2004

Hmmmmm. Last I checked, Bashar al-Assad ran Syria, not Israel...

Do you ever address the actual topics?

I give you a link to suicide bombing and you ask about missiles.
Then were discussing Hamas and insist on talking about Hizbollah.

OK genius...Hizbollah,the cancer eating away at Lebanon-

1982: Israel invades Lebanon to drive out the PLO's terrorist army, which had frequently attacked Israel from its informal "state-within-a-state" in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah, a Shiite group inspired by the teachings and revolution of Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini, is created with the assistance of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. The group is called Hezbollah–or "party of God"– after initially taking responsibility for attacks under the name "Islamic Jihad." (Not to be confused with the Palestinian terror organization Islamic Jihad.)

July 19, 1982: The president of the American University in Beirut, Davis S. Dodge, is kidnapped. Hezbollah is believed to be behind this and most of the other 30 Westerners kidnapped over the next ten years.

April 18, 1983: Hezbollah attacks the U.S. embassy in Beirut with a car bomb, killing 63 people, 17 of whom were American citizens.

Oct. 23, 1983: The group attacks U.S. Marine barracks with a truck bomb, killing 241 American military personnel stationed in Beirut as part of a peace-keeping force. A separate attack against the French military compound in Beirut kills 58.

Sept. 20, 1984: The group attacks the U.S. embassy annex in Beirut with a car bomb, killing 2 Americans and 22 others.

March 16, 1984: William F. Buckley, a CIA operative working at the U.S. embassy in Beirut, is kidnapped and later murdered.

April 12, 1984: Hezbollah attacks a restaurant near the U.S. Air Force Base in Torrejon, Spain. The bombing kills eighteen U.S. servicemen and injures 83 people.

Dec. 4, 1984: Hezbollah terrorists hijack a Kuwait Airlines plane. Four passengers are murdered, including two Americans.

Feb. 16, 1985: Hezbollah publicizes its manifesto. It notes that the group's struggle will continue until Israel is destroyed and rejects any cease-fire or peace treaty with Israel. The document also attacks the U.S. and France.

June 14, 1985: Hezbollah terrorists hijack TWA flight 847. The hijackers severely beat Passenger Robert Stethem, a U.S. Navy diver, before killing him and dumping his body onto the tarmac at the Beirut airport. Other passengers are held as hostages before being released on June 30

Feb. 17, 1988: The group kidnaps Col. William Higgins, a U.S. Marine serving with a United Nations truce monitoring group in Lebanon, and later murders him.

Oct. 22, 1989: Members of the dissolved Lebanese parliament ratify the Taif Agreement. Although the agreement calls for the "disbanding of all Lebanese and non-Lebanese militias," Hezbollah remains active.

March 17, 1992: With the help of Iranian intelligence, Hezbollah bombs the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, killing 29 and injuring over 200.

July 18, 1994: Hezbollah bombs the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires–again with Iranian help–killing 86 and injuring over 200.

Nov. 28, 1995: Hezbollah bombards towns in northern Israel with volleys of Katyusha rockets in one of the group's numerous attacks on Israeli civilians.

March 30, 1996: Hezbollah fires 28 Katyusha rockets into northern Israeli towns. A week later, the group fires 16 rockets, injuring 36 Israelis. Israel responds with a major offensive, known as the "Grapes of Wrath" operation, to stop Hezbollah rocket fire.

Aug. 19, 1997: Hezbollah opens fire on northern Israel with dozens of rockets in one of the group's numerous attacks on Israeli civilians.

Dec. 28, 1998: Hezbollah opens fire on northern Israel with dozens of rockets in one of the group's numerous attacks on Israeli civilians.

May 17, 1999: Hezbollah opens fire on northern Israel with dozens of rockets in one of the group's numerous attacks on Israeli civilians.

June 24, 1999: Hezbollah opens fire on northern Israel, killing 2.

Oct. 7, 2000: Hezbollah attacks an Israel military post and raids Israel, kidnapping three Israeli soldiers. The soldiers are later assumed dead. In mid-October, Hezbollah leader Nasrallah announces the group has also kidnapped an Israeli businessman. In 2004, Israel frees over 400 Arab prisoners in exchange for the business man and the bodies of the three soldiers

April 9, 2002: Hezbollah launches Katyushas into northern Israeli town. This assault comes amidst almost daily Hezbollah attacks against Israeli troops in Shebba farms.

Aug. 10, 2003: Hezbollah shells kills 16-year-old Israeli boy, wound others.

Sept. 2, 2004: United Nations Security Council Resolution 1559 calls for "the disbanding and disarmament of all Lebanese and non-Lebanese militias," a reference to Hezbollah.

July 12, 2006: Hezbollah attacks Israel with Katyushas, crosses the border and kidnaps two Israeli soldiers. Three Israeli soldiers are killed in the initial attack. Five more soldiers are killed as Israel launches operation to rescue the soldiers and push Hezbollah from its border. During the ensuing war, Hezbollah launches rockets at civilian targets across northern Israel.

The last entry, the impetus for a war. Melodrama...stop being ignorant and/or dishonest.

The border with Lebanon had been quiet for two years before Israel invaded in 1982..

So take a deep breath and understand the reason for the lies and the source of the conflict..

That's because Hezbollah and the PLO have never been able to leave Israel alone.

    Funny how that works...
