Saying a word is promoting behavior? What world is that from? It is a word, has a meaning not an act. Unless used in a sentence to state you want to do that act. Why is that word bad and not freaking or screw or any other similar type words to describe the same thing?
And there you have it. Liberals just plain don't like any moral standards. They'll strike out in a heartbeat if someone dares not to be 'politically correct' Then they strike out if someone suggests any form of morality. WTF liberal. Go to a dictionary and look up 'consistency'.
Are you saying that words do not promote behavior? Do you honestly believe that television and music do not influence people's behavior?
So a 2yr old saying the f word on tv will send all the viewers to their bedrooms and perform the act?
BTW - how many here actually watch the show. Show of hands please. I for 1, have watched maybe the 1st 2 episodes. Thought it was a dumb show.
correct, as it is nothing more than your opinion that it's perfectly fine to exploit the toddler and do this fyi- most posts on this forum are opinions................including those from you
What would you know of hypocrisy when you constantly misspell it? How transparent. This kind of subjest matter in prime-time network TV is in poor taste. tate???
Since it is on network TV, the f bomb will be bleeped anyway. Also since that is the case there is no proof that the toddler will even say the word in the taping of the show. Much ado about nothing. Isn't that the show with the two gays guys raising a kid? I would think there would be about 1000 threads on that by know, but an f bomb raises the ire. Weird.
Oh no! Not a swearing toddler!!! Heaven forbid!! Seriously, it's a common situation in life. Toddlers pick up everything they hear, one slip up and you have a swearing toddler. They like to repeat it over and over as well. It's happens to everyone while raising kids. Is it in good taste? No, I don't think so. Not for a big name television show. Is it moral decay? No. Get over it, its art imitating life. I'm sure they will do it in a humorous innocent manner.
then if you think the idea of exploiting this toddler is just swell and those are your morals; no thanks
Playing? Is that what matters to you; winning a little tit for tat one-upsmanship game on an internet forum? WOW. I watch the show every week. I like the show. Why do you make assumptions about conservatives not liking the show? Why do we need the limits pushed? Why does the F word need to be normalized on TV? WHY? And why do you hate moral standards in society, preferring debasement and perversion? Why the insults against people you don't even know? What is to be gained by normalizing these things? What agenda is served? Answer that.
No. This one word will however set a precedent for things like this to be shown on TV. Then the next show will push the envelope a little further and maybe they don't bleep it out this time. The things we watch on television would never have been acceptable in the past. Its a gradual decline.
LOL A swearing toddler is one of the funniest thing ever, but you know you can't laugh out loud or else your done. You'll hear it another 50 times.
Yeah I know, who cares right? This is easily dismissed. Furthermore, these producers know many of us will dismiss it. In due time they will be using this word regularly on TV, with very little thought to its meaning or the effects on social standards.
While I wouldn't actively instruct children to curse, this is not exploitation, nor cultural rot. BTW, who's culture are we talking about, because RWers have avery parochial view of culture. RWers have made their own mythical culture with its own set of morals that only apply to them and that is fine, that is freedom of speech. But do not attempt to hold others to it without any pushback.
