the list of people you can hate includes:

muslims, commies, libruls, femonazis, gays, blacks .. and unamercan people like me.

The "welfare of the American people" means NOT spending ourselves into oblivion while making enemies of ENTIRE nations of people!

Maybe, as you suggest, my suggestion IS neglecting the material comforts of the corporate defense and oil executives more than you would like or paid to do, but I think the USA will be just fine in the long run without spending billions and trillions on vicious dictators. In fact, we could very well be MUCH better off!

And be a moral and decent country, as well. Wouldn't THAT be nice!

Yep, the probability is good that America will benefit from not donating taxpayer money to dictators.

    Silly Hilly Billies .
Your compassionate Government switched prime support to the Brotherhood nearly a year ago .
They are allegedly a much more realistic group to deal with than their brothers in Hezbollah .
Quite how they are managing their previous intimate relationship with the Generals , is more difficult to assess .
My guess is that the advice has been , ------ prepare for an orderly retreat , get your billions out of the country , and don't tarry too long or you might find a noose around your neck .

Nice post but as I agree with you for no death penalty I dont think the people will accept anything less if he is found guilty though . Adley will certainly not be forgiven by many, but you are right. We should not have death penalty.

The Mos Bros are the peoples choice. I did not vote for them but I accept them.
My vote was strategic to counter salafism candidate in my district. The run off my vote was Mos Bros for same reason between MB and salafists.

Our constitution will be written. Islam is the religion and Arabic is our langauge, sharia our main source of law and I doubt the current system will change much under MB. We will still have French System with family law Sharia for inheritance etc. I think so anyway.

not a single Egyptian asked for your help in those 18 days are the bullets were flying

not a single Egyptian thought about where was the saviour USA to save us believe me

Every Egyptian faced the bullets and USA made tear gas and some died but they never dreamed of overthrowing Mubarak the US puppet

    you know why!

Because Every Egyptian knew that when you invite the American to the party it then it is disaster.
That inviting the US in those 18 days would mean that all that died died in vain because the USA would have installed their own next puppet. They tried though. They installed Omar Suleiman but even the dirt poor sand dweller pesants as you call them knew enough that the US selection was disaster and rejected that US decision and fought on.

So let me tell you this since you are living in another world.

You may think that you are the saviours of the world.

The rest of us see you as terrorists. A hive of terrorists and mad men.

Keep your troops and mad men your side of the ocean please. You have enough problems in the USA to sort out.

Nice move Mos Bros Government :sun:

For the first time in our history we will get full Live coverage of our newly elected Parliament. Both houses.

In a few days a new channel will broadcast live the sessions in the parliament and the channel will then discuss debate the issues mentioned in that session with guests and people in the street.

Nilesat satellite Sout al Balad the channel goes live Tuesday 24th January one day before anniversary.

Now Egyptians get to see what is going on in our parliament and hear all the discussions!

    Bravo Mos Bros!

So it seems our right-of-centre brethren only like democracy when the results are what they want, or what they think is in their best interests.
I've got news for you guys, you don't get to pick the cherries out of democracy. You do know that woman have the right to vote in Egypt ... right?

You didn't like the results of the democratic elections in the Palestinian Authority and opposed implementation. Remember? Think Hamas. After a series of knock-on consequences what you got was the Goldstone report, and then you called 'foul'.

Do you realise how false your face looks to most of the world when you trumpet democracy and then crap on its door step? Do you realise how abysmally low your credibility has sunk in most of the world. Do you realise that when you rattle sabres regarding Iran, frowns break out across the globe. If Israel or 'Murka attacks Iran, I predict 50% of Spaniards will flock to the streets in protest. Probably the same in South Africa. In France, about 60%. In Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Holland and Denmark, even more. I would not wave my 'Murkan passport around in Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, or Oceania on that day, and I would try to put on a less obvious accent.

Ask Egypt's foremost intellectuals, writers, poets, artists, musicians, philosophers etc. to submit suggestions for the Constitution. Ask the working man and woman. Ask the schoolchildren. Let the nation create itself again. My opinion and hope.

Then lives your lives, in your country, and get the fack out of ours ;)

Are we suppose to care about American lives?

    (*)(*)(*)(*) that.

Everybody who cares what's best for America and "Israel", raise your hand. Anybody....

This is Egypt. Not America. Not "Israel". All that matters is what's best for Egypt. To Hell with the other two. ;)

What's amazing is you are actually so self-centered! It's amazing, you fulfill the American stereotype of ignorance and arrogance so well.

Silly Egyptians! The only way you can have democracy is if America helps!

The Kings of Democracy are the only ones royal enough to give democracy to the rest of the world, so you must ask America for permission!

But on a serious note, congrats Egypt! On free elections where you finally got to choose your leaders.

Inshallah the beginning of good things to come!

    Good for them.

    Can they make it work?

    Will they be effective?

What are the chances of the constitution being based on the laws of the Koran or worse the sharia version of the koran?

    Will the people accept this?

Will they choose to be a state sponsor of terror?

Will the "new" leadership employ the same heavyhanded tactics of the previous regime?

So much to wonder about....time will tell.

Well, the people there aren't any more free than before, but at least now they have no one to blame but themselves.

The committee I hear of 100 include all of those.
    Every segment of society.
It goes to referendum once it is drafted for the stamping

    shukran

one year on and we achieved some things

The reign of terror of the police and SS is over

    The military are accountable

We get to see the regime behind bars and in court

The Coptic Christians standing up and shouting against the oppression of the Papa Shenouda and the churches rules about marriage and divorce

Politcial parties being allowed to campaign and have a voice and run for positions in a real election

We are no longer chained and silent

We get to stand in groups of more than 4 people

The Mubarak spell has been broken and the fear has gone

And you guys accomplished it all by yourselves! Mashallah, you have inspired so people with your revolution :)

I will never forget Flagman haha

This, along with Tunisia, we're the only revolutions where there was no questions about its legitimacy.

Bahrain is still a work in progress and it's sad how their revolution has been almost kept silent by the media (America, Britain and Saudi Arabia are supporting the regime, so not really a surprise)

Libya was a success for the people (but IMO there was more to it than what was shared)

In Syria I hear mixed reports from many different people...

we done it so we are responsible to get it right

the Pyramids were not built in a day is the famous saying

    Libya had many hands
Bahrain will eventually get their freedom and so will Saudis
    Syria has many hands
in 10 years I do not believe there will be monarchies in Middle east and North Africa

Those days of kings are over and the people want to choose who leads them

No longer will people tolerate corrupt and liars and thieves
