Well, so much for the pro-protest college culture. It's the end of an era. I wasn't around then, but I think the 1960s and 1970s were a big protest movement in American history. Boomers set forward a progressive liberal agenda against war and hate. They broke away from their pro-war ancient fuddy-duddies parents from the greatest generation and set a new standard. To protest was from then on considered a badge of honor and pride. Now it's all over. What will we become now???

 

At least the boomers were protesting their own country's government's envolvement in a war and not some college's affiliation with some company who also does business with another country's government who is envolved in a war.

Watching the news last night one of these idiots that had just been released had a reporter there asking what their next move was? Dude went off on the reporter saying she was invading his space and had no right to interupt him. I almost hit the floor laughing. Only when protesting Israel will you get arrested and hauled off for failure to leave private property, blocking traffic, creating a public nuisance, etc.

Westboro Baptist Church protested primarily at public cemeteries. The KKK gets permits if they do a march in the streets.

Shutting down roads/bridges/etc is illegal w/o a permit as is protesting on private property like Omar’s daughter did. Just like these idiots:

I wasn't talking about permit based protesting, which has to do when on public property, the WBC protested at private ceremonies. Speaking up on campus is not a public disturbance. I know RWers get their panties in a twist when a RW orator is shouted down at college public speaking.

 

How about if they offer charter flights to the region to get OUT innocent people who are being slaughtered by the IDF, but can't leave the country because they are not allowed by Israel to leave? That would eliminate both the slaughter AND the protests, because it would solve what the protests are ABOUT.

Now... would YOU put your money where your mouth is and receive these people in your home?

 

The quicker solution, would be for Hamas to lay down their arms and surrender. Once that happens Gaza can be rebuilt.
As long as the people continue to support Hamas, there will be no solution.
