    He just wanted to pretend to care about highly skilled immigration for a minute because he either forgot that he is cutting highly skilled immigration or he just doesn't care. That boy ain't right.

    Because they are a comparatively small Socialist country with not a very diverse population or culture. Per capita, they are equally more productive than we are and don't need to support a large population of unproductive types....so why would they leave their "dole" to jump on ours?

    U.S. standards are pretty high, if you ignore killing Health Care system and criminal killing in the U.S. cities.

    Actually that chart is problematic, because they're measuring human development by their own standards... and they might not be the same standards others have.

    Truth be told, some DO come here, but only to take high-paying jobs from able bodied 'murikans. The NHL is teeming with those weaseling Norwegians. Why hasn't Trump put an end to THAT?!?!:mad:

    The health care system is corrupt, that is how people get killed.
    They are afraid to use it, since it is very expensive (corrupt).
    When they are afraid to use they miss important diagnosis.

    I don't know about Norway. I know about Italy. Their standard of living is higher than American one. But all of them dream to live in the USA. I really don't understand this.

    Because the economy is so good in Norway, they cannot apply for asylum like African migrants. We have never heard about Norwegian asylum seekers and these days, more asylum seekers arrive than skilled migrants do. The Trump administration canceled permits that allow nearly 200,000 people from El Salvador to live and work in the US. They were granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) after earthquakes rocked the Central American country in 2001.

    Human development isn't standard of living. And 4.5 million people of Norwegian descent live in the US. AND Trump didn't ask why we don't get more people from Norway. He knows why. The immigration laws give preference to third world immigrants over Europeans.

    Their country is 96% white, and one of the best countries on earth.

    The US used to be as well until we started taking in violent people from the rest of the world.

    Because it's a small country and nowhere near you, that does not speak your language or have any cultural ties.

    Plenty of Norwegian migrants in my country. Plenty in their neighbouring countries. etc.
