Again, I've been conversing with EuP for well over a year; I don't need to search his posts-- I've a pretty good idea where he stands. This is MY experience with EuP-- I have never seen him be openly racist toward any ONE person-- toward concepts and ideas, most certainly; his contention mostly seems to be with societal systems. I never claimed he wasn't racist, just that he may be less racist than he appears to be.

Truth be told, EuP is a tribalist more than anything else-- his preference for association is his specific clan (and yes, the spelling IS correct here); hypothetically speaking (mind you, the odds of this are about a zillion to one, but), if a brown-skinned person maintained ties to his familial group (not just in name but also in culture and tradition), I'd guess he'd welcome them moreso than non-afiliated Whites... can't swear to it, but that would be my guess...

I've learned alot from EuP-- our discussions have caused me to think critically about my personal viewpoint (Why do I believe what I believe?) and have helped me to re-examine some of my own prejudices regarding those who are prejudiced. Simply because I disagree with him does not mean that I'll denigrate him as a human-- his position? Yes. Him? No.

In MY personal life experience, I've dealt with supposed non-racists whose behavior and words were in complete opposition; I've heard, "I'm not racist, but..." more times than I can count. Contrast that to EuP who admits his prejudice but is open to discussing issues and is willing to hear perspectives other than his own.

I find his brand of racism MUCH easier to deal with than those who smile in my face and spit in my food when I'm not looking...
