Truth be told, EuP is a tribalist more than anything else-- his preference for association is his specific clan (and yes, the spelling IS correct here);
|
In my conversations with EuP, he feels that the white race is superior to the black race. That means he is racist. You can't be sorta racist, or less racist. You either are or you are not. This does not mean that he is frothing at the mouth and spitting blood and killing in the streets, but he is definitely racist.

hypothetically speaking (mind you, the odds of this are about a zillion to one, but), if a brown-skinned person maintained ties to his familial group (not just in name but also in culture and tradition), I'd guess he'd welcome them more so than non-afiliated Whites... can't swear to it, but that would be my guess...

I guess there is no way to tell. But my guess is that he would shun the person, not for being black, but for being a biological anomaly which would need to be cleansed from the family bloodline so as not to water down the family traits.

I've learned alot from EuP-- our discussions have caused me to think critically about my personal viewpoint (Why do I believe what I believe?) and have helped me to re-examine some of my own prejudices regarding those who are prejudiced. Simply because I disagree with him does not mean that I'll denigrate him as a human-- his position? Yes. Him? No.
|
I don't know who is denigrating him as a person. I am not. In my discussions with him, I have found his words to be big, but his logic flawed.

In MY personal life experience, I've dealt with supposed non-racists whose behavior and words were in complete opposition; I've heard, "I'm not racist, but..." more times than I can count.

Me too. People really need to look at themselves and wonder if they feel that their race is superior to other races. EuP sees this as an objective truth. I see it as subjective. Race is such a mirage (unless you are talking about family lineage). Black, white, Asian, it's all flexible and hard to define, which is why determining one as being better than the other is a futile task. What about the people who fall middle of the racial profile? How do we classify them?
