Syria took a big gamble in killing Rafik Hariri. It will be interesting to see if US/French relations improve as a result, especially considering that Iran, Syria, and Hizbullah are united against Abbas and diplomacy in Palestine. I wonder if the French will want to take an active role in pushing Syria out of Lebanon.
