All my kids have told me that they wanted to donate if they were to die before me. Of course, the subject was brought up in our family because of their Uncle Len. I know that I could do it, because I know how much better I would've felt if Len's organs had been useful. Of course, that decision was easy compared to one involving one's own child. I think we all feel the need to find something good in tragedy, and organ donation may be the only way to accomplish that.
