I'm more on your side than not. I don't believe society has much business deciding who's "worth" keeping alive and who's not, as long as society (i.e. taxpayers) isn't being asked to pay for that upkeep.

But I also don't think that principle extends to poking one's nose into a family's private tragedy.

Terri's case turned into a circus. My comment was meant to reflect my disgusted expectation that the next Terri-like circus is just around the corner.
