To paraphrase Monty Python - "I laugh in your general direction."
Don't get me started on Jeter and his Ego. Could he be any more smug?
The only thing I like about the Yankees is Torre - he's a class act. The rest of them can go take a flying jump for all I care. And that's meant with all due respect, by the way

If you ever see an interview with him he never takes credit for anything he does. He's always the first person to give credit to his teammates. He doesn't promote himself or anything. Now if you were speaking of ARod's ego I'd agree.

Being the face of a couple of baseball computer games isn't promoting himself? Honestly, I hadn't seen any interviews until I went looking after reading your post.
He just has a very smug, arrogant look to him that, for some reason, most women I know find attractive. I don't at all.
Give me Mike Piazza - now there is a nice Italian boy. Good looking, talented, funny and by all accounts a pretty nice guy. AND he doesn't play for the Yankees

That's more marketing, no different than selling pepsi or whatever. But he is definitely not an egocentric, he's well respected in baseball because he is incredibly polite and is always the last to criticize anyone or take any personal credit. That would be more a Roger Clemens.
