Pictures of aborted fetuses are circulated by those seeking to emotionalize an argument they have already lost. Legal abortion is the law of the land, and anyone that imagines that we are going to go back to 1955, complete with back alley abortionists, is delusional.... unless they imagine revoking womens voting rights at the same time.

Human beings are hardly an endangered species, however they certainly are a self important and arrogant one. By the time the younger folks here are middle aged, scarcity of resources due to population explosion is going to be a much greater issue than reproductive rights. When resources are in short supply, how much weight will 17th century religious thought carry.

Many of those actively opposed to abortion are also opposed to contraception due to their interpretation of their religion, and most are opposed to public distribution of contraception to young people. Never let logic get in the way of a good emotional stand I suppose...
