Mark Levin: The Thomas Paine of our Time


I have to agree with this. Levin is a modern day Thomas Paine. I listen to him when I can on 77 WABC at 6 pm each night. I have his new book "Liberty and Tyranny, A Conservative Manifesto ", and it is like taking a US history/ Civics class.

If you are Patriotic at all, you should listen to Mark once in a while and get his book. He has other books too, but I haven't read them yet.

Now, for any statists who will say that Mark is advocating the overthrow of the US Government, that is not true. In fact, in the book he states that he is against that. Also, even though Mark espouses Conservatism based on the beliefs of the Founding Fathers, he isn't partisan. He has it in for RINOs and neo-cons just like he does for the ultra-left "statist".

The problem, according to Mark, with the "soft tyranny" that we are now moving towards in the US is that humans have a "high tolerance for suffering" (paraphrased). This fact allows the statist to inch closer to his dream of a Utopian society, at the expense of the individual's liberty and at the expense of the "Civil Society", where the individual is most highly regarded, not the collective.

I have to admit, I don't read a lot of books. But, I am reading this one now, and I highly recommend it to everyone with an ounce of Patriotic Blood in their veins.
