Amid the chaos and confusion that engulfed New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina struck, a local congressman (Rep. William Jefferson, D-La, who represents New Orleans and is a senior member of the powerful Ways and Means Committee) used the National Guard troops to check on his OWN property and rescue his OWN personal belongings — even while starving New Orleans residents were trying to get rescued from rooftops, ABC News has learned.



This is EXACTLY why I hate HYPOCRITE DEMOCRATS soooooo much, If a Republican politician had tried anything remotely like this is would be the LEAD STORY on every BUSH HATING network accross the world.

The double standards in media reporting and personal responsibility are now so self evident that ordinary working class folks are starting to finally "get it" !!!
