Your such an idiot its hard to know where to start. Look, anyone will sleep unless there is noise, so if someone breaks through a window or smashes a door, or an alarm goes off, people will hear it you idiot. Not everyone locks their doors, not everyone closes their windows, not everyone has an alarm, all someone has to do is enter quietly and they can club you in the head easily, a gun ain't gonna do @#$%. I am just saying if people do simple things like securing their house, they could usually prevent someone from just walking in, or at least make it an effort to get in.

I never said people don't kick in doors you moron, learn how to read, I said it would be stupid to kick down a door, especially a bedroom door which usually don't have locks, when you could just open it normally and not make any noise. If you were planning to kill someone and made it all the way outside their room, why would you kick down the door and wake them up? Wouldn't you just open the door like a normal person and have them still sleeping, so they couldn't grab the gun that is convientiently right next to them. Your scenerio is BS.

Unfortunately I don't live in hick-town USA so I am not accustomed to rat shooting and baseball bat yielding sexual preditors. I have no problem with people having guns for protection, but if someone isn't even responsible enough to secure their house, I doubt a gun would come in handy, unless your shooting rats in the barn of course.

I personally do not interract with dangerous people, and my house is very safe at night, despite not living in a gated-community. I do not see how having a gun would benefit me. For other people that deal with child rapers and other dangerous people, perhaps a gun would come in handy for the odd time one would randomly attempt to kill you.
