Default Now wait...

Marijuana also does not make people a danger to others. Come to think of it neither do most hallucinogens as long as people don't do something really dumb like drive. In fact the thing that makes drug addicts dangerous isn't always their behavior on drugs (unless you count working with heavy machinery and driving- which makes alcohol just as bad). It's what they do when they're trying to get drugs and when they're going nuts from withdrawal. Smokers don't steal as much, but they do all but starve themselves to get their fix and usually have the gall to complain about not having money. They're also really mean when coming down without a slow detox. Granted, I still don't see making them illegal. But I won't stand for anyone trying to make it sound like cigarettes are somehow holier than other drugs just because they don't get you high.
I'm personally a caffeine addict, so I have slight sympathies to all you pathetic addicts, enough to back you keeping your habit. But not much. When I go without coffee for a day, I can take a couple Advil to alleviate my withdrawal symptoms. I also don't spend my food and rent money on coffee then complain about being broke. And I've never asked anyone a stupid question like "How can you work at this hellhole and not drink coffee?"

So I keep my original statement: Smoking can be legal, but smokers should never be allowed to complain.
