Now they have to win the WC to get to the playoffs, even though they were well ahead of the Yankees in the difision for a long time.
I think the Red Sox is the most dangerous team in the American League. For that reason, the Yankees need to beat them today and hope that the Indians can do their part to keep the Soxs out of the playoffs.

Of course, considering the excitment of any series with the Yankees and Red Sox, I am kinda hoping that the Soxs get the Wild Card (that way they could play in the ALCS).
