No one defined liberal. I'm a classic liberal while my parents are conservative. This means that I value small government in economics, and small government in personal areas. I consider my self more "liberal" in both areas than them, but only because I define liberal in relation to liberty. As far as republican/democratic definitions of modern liberals and conservatives I am more of a modern conservative in economics, and more of a modern liberal in personal aspects. However, neither of these are accurate descriptions of my views. The best description is that I am a classical liberal, and thus am more truly liberal than both, instead of being more communistically liberal than both. I stay true to John Locke rather than John Rawles, which makes me pretty much the exact opposite from modern liberals, and far closer to modern conservatives... however I marked Somewhat Liberal, because I refuse to define myself as a conservative simply because I differ from modern liberals. I am more "classically" liberal. This of course will probably screw up the poll. That's okay though. The poll should have been more clear. ( In other words I am a more die hard republican than my parents are, but I marked that I am more liberal, because republicans are more classically liberal than modern liberal democrats.)
