i was talking to another jewish dude this morning and im confused... he says "you're just born a jew" so i say so if im born a christian and i dont go to church or believe in bible am i a christian? of course im not, but this guy thinks i still am... anyway he's probably a kid.... i asked this question here before, but i forget the answers they gave me, so please be kind enough and explain to me what makes you a jew if you are one?

most likely you will say "my family is jewish, that's why i'm a jew"

well, my grandparents from my father were catholic. but i just believed in being good and didnt pay attention to other stuff, so i dont consider myself catholic,.... try again.......

do you realy need to categorize yourself as a jew?is there realy a need for it? please explain.....
