0.02 per 1000 people or 2 per 100000 Yeah... that is REALLY high.

The problem with violence in the US is mostly related to illegal drugs, NOT guns. Even though many of those crimes are committed with guns.

If you're only comparing "firearms murders" then those nations with more liberal gun laws will most likely be higher, However that doesn't show you the whole picture.

If you look at the murder rate of ALL nations that reported it, the US in 24 of 25.

And of course, those stats for the US are 6 years old...
