I don't really know much about non-Christian art, but below is a link to my online photo albums. If you check out the albums titled Tokyo, Kyoto, and Japan, you'll see some photos of Japanese Buddhist and Shinto temples and statues. You'll have to search around through other non-religious photos as well, but perhaps you may enjoy them, too. Yes, this is a shameful attempt to promote my amateur photography.
