I've been thinking about the issue of affirmative action and what stance I should take. I suddenly realized that I don't deserve a say about it at all. I am a white male. I don't have a right to tell women and minorities whether they should or should not be part of affirmative action programs or whether such programs should be expanded, scaled back, kept as they are or eliminated. I therefore ask for the opinions of women and minorities on this site. Do you support affirmative action, and if so, to what extent? Once I find out what wrongfully oppressed groups want and need, I will support it. Please vote in the poll only if you are a woman or a member of a downtrodden racial or ethnic minority.
