I am so sick of hearing this line of reasoning. It's really very simple:
People have rights in this country, the most basic being the Unalienable rights of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."
The debate is whether a fetus is or isn't alive, or when a fetus should be considered a person.
If the fetus is a person, abortion legally equates to murder.
If the fetus is not a person, abortion legally equates to popping a zit.
To argue that it's a woman's issue, that it's her body and she can do what she wishes with it, implies the premise that a fetus should not be regarded as a person with unalienable rights. The argument
bypasses the entire debate and is therefore not valid.
