I agree he is myself, but so what? If he continually get blasted with mail from his constitutions to the point where he has to learn more conservative in order to save his own hide I could care less, as long as his voting record shows that. Secondly when election time does come any self respecting conservative should be able to show any weakness with in Sheets arguments, but if Sheets has to continually change his opinion on issues and has to keep going to the right to stay in power their by getting are agenda passed easier I say good for the people of West Virgina for forcing him to do that.

With that said I'm not afraid of the Old Byrd, although half of the state of West Virginia is named after the former Klansman, he can be defeated by a conservative IMO. Until then the more people mail him so he votes with the conservative line and ideal the more I will praise him or any Democrat for doing it. I could care less if he has a R or a D as long as they support or vote for conservative outcomes and ideals. I praise Lieberman all the time when he votes with a conservative ideal, I don't see you getting upset over that.
I agree: as a Democrat, Lieberman has a perfect right to vote with the Democrats most of the time. Or ALL the time for that matter. But usually, he's a man of principle. He voted FOR Judge Roberts. And Alito is just as qualified as Roberts. He did great in the hearings and has nothing in his background that says he shouldn't be a SC justice. It's purely poltics. It's the Dems saying......we expect YOU Republicans to vote for OUR highly qualified liberal judges (Gingsburg).....but we will NOT vote for YOUR highly qualified conservative judges. It's the Dems saying...."we expect YOUR Republican president to replace a 'moderate' SC justice with another "moderate" judge......but we don't expect our Democrat presidents to replace a moderate judge with another moderate judge. Again....as in the case of liberal Gingsburg who replaced a moderate. Republicans voted unanimously FOR her, BTW.

It's clear: Democrats play poltiics with this issue: Republicans do not.
Or at least they haven't in the past. That very well may change next time there is a Democrat president. And I don't want to see any complaining from the Democrats if they do.
