I am a Neo-conservative. Neo-con for short.

Neo-cons tend to favor few or no restrictions on free speech, an extremely aggressive foreign policy, free market capitalism, and tend to be moderate (maybe a little right of moderate) on most social issues. Most neo-cons are against government spending, with one exception: Defense.

Neo-cons are a mutated form of what you probably think of as American Republicans. We now call those Paleo-conservsatives. Pat Buchanan is a good example of a Paleo-conservative. Where Neo-cons could be called "moral crusaders" who want to advance their ideology across the world, Paleo-conservatives are mostly isolationists who think we should mind our own business. Paleo-conservatives are also more financially conservative than neo-cons. They support restrictions on ALL spending, including Defense.

Most of the current Bush administration are considered Neo-cons (Bush himself, Condoleeza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, and Dick Cheney, among others). Michelle Malkin and Rush Limbaugh are examples of media Neo-cons.
