This is all part of government's hypocracy in applying its duty of "protecting the citizens" completely randomly. (see my related thread in the health forum). It will go all out with these stupid "click-it or ticket" campaigns to make us wear our little seatbelts when we drive 4 blocks to the 7-11, but have no problem with us picking up 2 cartons of CAMELS when we get there.

Actually, the smoking bans put in place by some local municipalities and private businesses is at least a step in the right direction. But much, much more should be done for sure.
