Default If we would like to speak about ex-Soviet republics...

If we would like to speak about ex-Soviet republics, for instance, Moldova, I want to say a few words about such fabricated criminal case as scandalous case against former Moldovan Defense Minister and ex-chairman of Moldova's domestic security service, Mr. Pasat. The acting head of the Service Ursu told me that in unique manner he also sees politics in it. Officially Pasat was detained for allegedly having damaged the state budget by having sold MIG 29s. But as it became known from the Pentagon's representative, Mr. Marry, who was engaged in it from American side, it was the only right way for Moldova at that moment. The matter is that servicing of these aircrafts has been heavy burden for the state budget in reality. And if Mr. Pasat refused to sell this equipment to some Slovak company for US needs, in any case these aircrafts might be sold then to Iran, who our Administration considers as our potential enemy. Thus, we should support Mr. Pasat who has acted in our interests and in the end turned out to be a political victim of present totalitarian regime in Moldova.
