I think you would be hard pressed to find evidence supporting such a notion. Iran has been hostile towards the US for quite some time now. The face of the new regime should not surprise anyone who has followed what Iran has stood for during the last 20 or so years. What other nation on the planet has had the balls to take Americans from a US embassy hostage?
