Default how does the government protect the aboriginal people in aus

what do you guys feel about aborigines in australia?does the government do anything to protect the aboriginal people, like creates a new law to protect thier interests or welfare?

Not to my knowledge, although apparently we do give them free public housing and some other things that come from ticking that 'Are you of Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander descent' box on the forms at Centrelink...
