PC in California at it again.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/ar...TICLE_ID=49171
Here we go again, the far-left PC crowd in California is attempting to make it illegal for a textbook to say husband and wife , or Mom and Dad because of the "discriminatory" nature of such words. From the article
Quote:
A traditional-values organization in California is warning the state's residents that a bill pending in the Legislature, if approved, could remove all references to gender in public schools – threatening even references to "mom" or "dad" in textbooks.
If the bill, SB 1437, were to become law, warns the Capitol Resource Institute, "it could potentially require gender-neutral bathrooms in our schools and all references to 'husband' and 'wife' or 'mom and dad' removed from school textbooks as the norm."

Simply amazing that such a notion would even be considered. But this is what happens when you are afraid to "offend" anyone, and "equallity" is your highest goal. Equallity leads to a race to the buttom, making everyone exactly the same so no distinciton can possibly be shown between two people due to the fact that it might show that somone maybe better then someone else. Give me a break, I'll stick with liberty. From the article again:

Sponsored by Democratic Sen. Sheila Kuehl – a lesbian actress best known for playing Zelda in "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" in the '60s – the legislation would add "gender" (actual or perceived) and "sexual orientation" to the law that prohibits California public schools from having textbooks, teaching materials, instruction or "school-sponsored activities" that reflect adversely upon people based on characteristics like race, creed and handicap.

You know people are getting their panties, (excuse me I'm not being PC I also mean boxers, briefs, g-strings, thongs, chain mail, chastity belts, shorts, or if they choose nothing) in a bundle over nothing when people attempt to act offended when someone discuses gender roles. How was I to know that for years when I called my mother "mom" I was acting in a discriminatory way I mean heck I never even asked if she preferred "Mother, Mama, Ma, Homegirl, or simply person who's sexual contact with one of the opposite sex(who may now be offended to be identified with the male sex) at the time created me and gave birth to me". What a joke, talk about PC gone crazy.
