When they stick up for each other, the assumption is that they are lying to protect their buddies. It's just not that easy for me to believe that all 46 would lie to protect rapists.

I don't understand the allegation that the police waited too long to search the house. They found the fingernails, the make-up bag etc. Didn't they find everything they were looking for?
46 guys are being punished for the actions of 3 because 46 were at the party when the incident occurred, drinking, when they werent suppose to, watching strippers, when they werent suppose to, and this is NOT their first offense this year, hell, its not even their 10th offense this year:

20 crimes in past year include underage drinking, public urination, noise

The March 13 off-campus party at which a woman was allegedly beaten and raped wasn't the first legal run-in for members of the Duke University men's lacrosse team, WNCN-TV reported Thursday.

WNCN-TV has uncovered court documents showing 15 members of the lacrosse team have been charged with at least 20 crimes in the past year. The charges include underage drinking, public urination, excessive noise and one instance in which a Duke student's debit card was stolen and used to purchase $100 in food.

This was simply the last draw in a long line of crap they were let off for. They are not innocent little school boys.
