But making such a difference is useful. That way we can have partisan bickering on how each form of discrimination is worse than the other, while ignoring the effects of the one we're supposed to be cheering on. Meanwhile we try to underplay the existence of the other one.
If we didn't have a term like "reverse discrimination", we'd have to (gasp) honestly discuss the entire issue of discrimination and look at the varied ways in which it exists without the use of catchy rhetoric.
That's upside-down discrimination against political hackery!
