Going into Iraq definitely hurt America's reputation, but the decision Bush made appears logical. I would not fualt Bush for the decision, but he deserves criticizing if things get any worse there.

Wire-tapping is just one of those programs that some random intelligence official thought would be a good idea, and Bush approved it because he could care less. I believe it is in Bush's authority until proved otherwise, and I doubt the program is there to screw over Americans, but seriously, having such harmful leaks is a bigger issue here. Theres no telling what other sensative information is being leaked by the top US officials.
This somehow reminds me of Abu-Ghraib. I believe that the US has been torturing people for decades, along with many other western democracies, despite what they all say publically. What amazes me is that some soldier can be stupid enough to take pictures of himself and he friends torturing people, then emailing them all over the place. I would be more frightened that such idiots were in anyones army.

I think Bush was the victom of stupidity at all levels of government here. Usually the guy at the top takes the blame, this is just another typical case. I credit Bush for having good damage control, he really transferred most of the blame to FEMA, which is just another screw-up agency that needs fixing.

Talk about an issue with no relevence at all. Some random state owned company from the Middle-East wants to take over some ports. There is virtually no problem, except for the imagined fear that the company will let some terrorist ship in a bomb. Now the US media takes the topic and beats it to death for a week.
As for ports in General, the Bush adminstration to my knowledge has done little to tighten security measures. Bush is just afraid to raise taxes to solve things like this, which is irresponsible and shameful to say the least.
I would like to say the purpose of any US President is to improve America. In the eyes of history, Bush is one of those Presidents that can either go down as a complete idiot or a complete genius. It would be premature to judge him now, but I would hate for a US President as outgoing as Bush to go down in history as a complete idiot or fool.
