Thread: Positive effects of Global Warming?

  1. Default Positive effects of Global Warming?

This article talks about how global warming could possibly delay the ice age that was about to occur.

Global Warming May Have Delayed the Next Ice Age

If you could watch a movie of the planet over the last several million years, you’d see the ice caps advance and retreat: The planet’s climate moves in cycles, with ice ages and interglacial periods alternating. But looking at previous interglacials similar to our own, geophysicists now think that the current mostly ice-less period may be longer than it would have been had a certain species not invented the combustion engine. Specifically, it looks like with amount of greenhouse gases we’ve already spewed into the atmosphere, the next ice age will be delayed.

Pity you did not read the responses on that blog

They rightly point out that the "next ice age" is not expected until about 1,500 years from now - meanwhile back in heat stroke land.............

There is a lot of money to be made by power companies. As more extreme heat and cold seasons get longer each decade, the massess will need to pay more for power, and the demand will increase.

If they could only speed up the process to make global warming faster so we can see more changes each year, that would make for great investing profits.

It's also possible that if it keeps going the next ice age could come sooner.

Of course the GW fixes cause more damage to citizens

A SoCal woman says the energy efficient window installed in a neighbor’s condominium is melting the plastic components on cars parked in her carport.

    Of all the........

Because someone, somewhere is complaining about a neighbour having reflective glass in her window this is a "problem with global warming fixes"?

How do you know the windows were put in to stop global warming? Maybe they went in because she wanted to save on electricity bills or even maybe honk off her neighbour by melting the pruis! Yep! That was it - she was actually a denialist against all measures to save electricity and oil so she got mirrored windows installed at just the right angle to focus on the ever be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed Pruis!

It is a conspiracy I tell youuuuuuuuuuuu!

    From the link I provided

Patron is not alone. Reports across the country have alleged damages brought on by concentrated sunlight reflected off of energy efficient windows. The National Association of Home Builders is now conducting a study on the matter.
