It's very hard for me to have any sympathy for most poor people. I can remember when I was in school how many of the kids never took it seriously and caused so much trouble that it was hard for the kids that wanted to learn to do so. I know they figured school was free and it wasn't coming out of their pockets. Even though they paid for school through taxes the way it's set up the illusion that it is free is what is so bad. If the parents had to write a check out every month they might look at it a little differently.
Anyway these kids grow up and then can't get a decent job to support their families and raise hell at society demanding training and educating. So now they want schooling when they pissed the other schooling down the toilet. They expect society to pay s times because of their and their parents stupidity.
I can tell you another reason they don't take it seriously. It seems like many black kids have it in their heads that they are somehow going to beat the odds and become a basketball or football star. Lets see, from grade school to middle school maybe only 3/4 of the basketball players move up. From middle school to high school maybe only 1/2 of those move up. From High school to colledge only 1/20 move up. From colledge to proffessional only 1/100 move up. Someone is letting these kids down not telling them that a proffsssional career is a long shot at best and schooling is their best chance to succeed.
