1.) regardless of someone's point of view and/or poltical beliefs or creeds...I strongle defend their rights and freedoms of speach and expression. It doesnt mean I agree or think its not tacky, tasteless and/or inciteful. The only place I would draw the line is if it is harmful. If he would have posted "i like child porn"...that is something else entirely.
2.) The teacher was falsly arrested...he should also sue/press charges the teacher who "reported him" (that is harassment)...as he can technically deny the entire ordeal and say it was set up...as there is no way to prove otherwise....ISP's do not give information up due to contractual agreements with clients and the Internet Privacy Act.
By the way, in several countries, you can be arrested, charged and fined/imprisoned for denying the holocaust, making the "Hitlergruess" (right arm extended) and saying "heil", "sieg"...you get the picture. There is a fine line here about inciting hate, however, I strongly disagree with Holocaust revisionist, I believe they have a right to state their beliefs and message...let the people judge them....not a governmental body...who is the government to say...believe the way we want you to or else? its all perception and in theory one might ask "where will that end?"
3.) making a threat on the net should be handled the same as verbally or personally sending in an email, letter, phone, etc. "terroristic threat".
but making tasteless, naive, stupid, anti-social remarks? Its your right.
