Default Good grief

The United States adopted the term "American" and "Americans" at its founding. True, the "Americas" refer to all the new world. America is an ambiguous term to those who aren't citizens of the United States. They call us North Americans or United Staters (in their own language, of course).

Well, we also call our running game of punt pass and kick "football" even the rest world calls a different sport by that name. It is a shame we have coopted names for ourselves, but it was all done in another time and era.

The educrat is technically correct, but what we call ourselves should be defined by us, not by others (even if they disagree, even if they may be right.)

Mack is trying to bring light, not heat, to the debate, so don't jump on him!
