How so? It says ' for the Children of Israel', not ' from the children of Israel'.

Without the first part of the verse, it is being used out of context because it comes across as Quranic teaching. That isn't the case. This isn't something that the Quran teaches, but merely a Jewish teaching that the Quran happens to mention.
