But wait! During sex, I didn't consent for you to take my semen and kill it! That's part of a man's body, and yet you assert that it's only the woman's choice.

Realize that giving one sex total control over childbirth simply because they perform one part of the process over another is ridiculous. If my Bio memory serves me correctly, 50% of that genome and 1 of the 2 gametes come with from each, and therefore they should have equal consent in the birth. The act of consensual intercourse gives full consent by both sides to birth and care for the resulting pregnancy: they choose whether or not to have an abortion before conception.

Semon may be part of the mans body, but once it enters the woman, it becomes a part of her body.
Both man and woman cannot have equal consent to the pregnancy/birth because the man has no say in whether or not the pregnancy continues. He has the right to an opinion, but the right to choose rests with the female.

Honey, you should be resting after having that bubby! I think you could change your mind about going back to work full time...my neighbour had her first child, and she planned on going back to work after six months, but after that time she couldn't do it, because she couldn't leave her baby alone for that long. She has since had two more children, and has no intention of going back to work because she loves her kids too much.

I wish! I already know I'm not going to want to go back, but financially that isn't an option. The Chesboy is a student and even if he wasn't, we still couldn't live on one income. I have to contribute as well - but my boss is very nice and flexible so we'll work something out if it comes to the point that full time is too much for me.

Or else we'll just win that $15 million Powerball tonight.

The Powerball was last night, sweetie, unless you refer to another game entirely...most I've won is 7th division three or four times.

No I'm not allowed to. The Chesboy likes to `dream for a few days', as he puts it. His Mum is the same. If I find out and we haven't won (which is usually the case) I'm not allowed to say anything for a few days.

Get that ticket from him and check those numbers! You could be a millionaire right now and not realise it!
