This is racist since you're only using race to base your decision. I understand how you can begin to feel overwhelmed. I often feel that way about Latinos, but my best employee is Latino so I get over it.

All in all, I doubt that you are any more racist than 99% of the country. IMO, you've gone too far if you would actually hire a white person even if a non-white person was more qualified or vice versa. If you're only guilty of generalizations and stereotyping, you're normal. If you allow those prejudices to carry over to individuals when you are making judgements, then you need to work on it.
