yes I am joking. This is the kind of thinking that is common of most governments in western europe currently. Unfortunatly, american history has produced citizens who are only looking out for one thing, and that is themselves. Americans have never been happy about paying taxes to support others. Look at the welfare debate, and that is not even close to some of the socialist policies present in most western european countries. It will be a long time before americans agree to more taxes to support social welfare. And don't even think about the military budget decreasing anytime soon.
