Chechnyans are in a tough spot.

They have been undermined by the fanatic types who did the Beslan Massacre and such...and thus lumped together with them.

SO now in this country the prevailing idea is what the Russians wants eveyrone to think. That is ALL Chechnyans are terrorists. This allows them a free rein. hey can burn a village and kill everyone in it(they have done this) and have it shrugged off now as just killing Terrorists.

Its very similar to to what Israel has managed with the Palestinians.

The allowing of Chechnyans back to their homeland after ther breakup of the USSR was one of the dumbest acts of the Russian Federation. It took Imperial Russia literally a couple hundred years to subdue that region..it took Stalin to finally deport the problems away to the far east.
IN a matter of a couple years feel good nonsense turned all that around.

F100... I think he is complainign that the NYT took already existing footage and edited in a manner that butchered what it really was.

Zakhevi... The NYT in the past few years has decided to take it upon itself to manufacture news.... so I'm not surprised.
