Some drugs, such as meth are made in that fashion. Often pot is as well, but also a lot of pot is run in from Mexico. Heroin and others are not produced here at all, yet are a rather large problem. They are made in other countries and smuggled into the country. Your rebuttal is flawed in that you are assuming that all drugs are made in people homes, but this most certainly isn't true. Many types of drugs are produced elsewhere (cocaine, which is a huge problem isn't made in the homes of Hollywood stars...try Columbia) and smuggled into this country. The same would happen with guns. Oh, and you talk as if it's impossible to make a homemade gun. It's quite easy to do, it's just that homemade guns are well more dangerous to the user than manufactured ones.
