That would surely explain why women account for more than half of college graduates in the United States, why women have the bigger income in a sizable minority of marriages, why there are 74 women in the U.S. Congress....
Western culture can still be sexist, but by and large it treats women as equals with equal rights -- not soft creatures that need to be protected from the world.
That doesn't offend Islam. But then, neither do the medieval societies that require women to wear full-length chadors, don't let them vote or drive, and don't let them leave the house unless accompanied by a male relative.
How is that giving "full rights" to women?
