Most of you may not know him, but he is big (in more ways than one) in talk radio here in the occupied San Francisco Bay Area. He has appeared on national TV shows such as a guest on MSNBC (you can find him on YouTube).

"A federal judge in San Francisco has unsealed the indictment against KGO Radio talk show host, Bernie Ward, on child pornography charges.

The I-Team has learned the case against Bernie Ward began with a complaint to police in the Central Valley town of Oakdale. They quickly sent it to the FBI. Several people who are close to Bernie Ward tell the I-Team he and his family are stunned by these charges. However, there is some positive news for ward in this federal indictment.
The charges are very serious -- two counts, distribution of child pornography and one count, receipt of child porn. Each charge carries a maximum of 15 years in federal prison, but if convicted, Bernie Ward would probably serve much less time."

"Bernie, according to the mainstream DC gossip column, was writing a book on the sexual hypocrisy of the right, so he downloaded some pictures and e-mailed them to some right wingers he didn't like, hoping he could entrap them. "One of them," says XXXXXXXX, "skeeved that someone was sending him sick child porn over the internet, reported it (as is required by law) to the police."


What's sad is that Bernie might have written his book in peace if he hadn't fallen prey to the song of his lesser angel who tempted him with a gotcha on his enemies.


A solution, however, must found for this conundrum for reporters- and it's legislative:

As Debbie Nathan writes in Counterpunch, "Journalists need some kind of system or First Amendment permit to allow them to do their reporting. Otherwise, the public will remain ignorant about what’s really going on with child pornography. And media people trying to find out will risk indictment, or worse."

How funny. Now we need to allow reporters to access kiddie porn so that the can report on perverts looking at kiddie porn? Or, we could let all the pervs become reporters, and then it will be perfectly legal!

Very interesting rumor...
One of the telephone screeners/producers of Michael Savage’s radio program received a call from someone identifying themself as a law enforcement officer. The officer claimed that Senator Barbara Boxer has applied pressure to prevent the full investigation of Bernie Ward. If this is true, there should be a full scale investigation of Senator Boxer.
