Default The pro-abortion woman rolls by...

Who's to say that one will be better off after having the child? It's beyond an inconvenience; it could ruin the life of the child and the mother. If denied the right to an abortion (the right over their own body) the mother will have to have the child. That leads to the mother either: not caring for the child, putting the child up for adoption, or keeping the child.
In scenario A the child has a horrible life with a neglectful mother or father. In circumstance B the child is bumped from foster home to foster home, never really getting a mother or father. In situation C the mother keeps the child. This can end up as a good ending; the mother can pull through and provide the child with happiness, or it can end horribly; the financial strain proves too much, ruining both lives.
If one goes to jail for abortion, we just have people crossing the border for abortions again. It didn’t work before, it won’t work the next time.
Condoms can’t stop everything, so let’s say the mother and father were playing it safe, and the mother still became pregnant. The mother has (forgive the analogy) a parasite growing inside her. It can be a health risk, too.
What I’m saying is, abortion is legal because in the end, it’s more than just an inconvenience to be pregnant. True, we can’t scab up over this issue, but there’s a difference between having an abortion at eighteen and killing off any inconveniences.
